What we did
David and his team undertook a significant house extension project for us between July and December 2019, including adding a double orangery, new bedroom/ensuite/dressing area, new bathroom, utility, garage.
This involved extension of foundations and underpinning in the new area to address some potential subsidence/tree encroachment issues to existing foundations. We were impressed throughout with the level of professionalism and attention to detail. From the first tender meeting, DMM were streets ahead of their competitors, arriving armed with pages of questions and clarifications of the plans and already focused on the job ahead. David works closely with a tried and tested team, including a Quantity Surveyor, Site Manager and electricians/plumbers/tilers etc who all delivered a high quality end result. He also has excellent contacts for sourcing fixtures and fittings and was able to find us a bespoke kitchen maker at a fraction of comparable supplier cost. He was available at all hours of day and night to respond to queries and offer advice and this continued through the snagging phase and even long after completion to assist with minor tweaks. He has a very good eye for design and although a lot of his projects are contemporary in design, he was able to anticipate and accommodate our more traditional brief for our older property. Post completion, we have returned to David for advice on a number of occasions and use him as a sounding board for various building and design ideas. I would recommend DMM highly and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again for any further projects.
